Stalinists Are Not Marxists

Stalinists, like Stalin, Mao, Hoxha and Pol Pot, claim to be Marxists. But they are not Marxists at all. Why? Because Marxists are materialists. Materialists decide the truth or falsehood of statements not on faith in great leaders like Caesar or Mao, but on evidence. But Stalinists believe in Stalin and Mao, and disbelieve the mountains of evidence of stalinist  crimes.

Stalinism is a cult because Stalinists reject any evidence that their heroes, i.e. Stalin and Mao, collaborated with Nazis and America’s GOP.

To top it all, stalinist rejection of objectivity hurdles the search for the reasons for the successes and failures of the Soviet Union, therefore benefiting anti-communist propaganda a lot.
